Another Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament has come and gone. This year we had 55 teams competing in the tournament. The event went very smoothly, and everyone seemed to have have a great time. We look forward to doing it again next year.
A major part of the continued success of the tournament comes from the support of our sponsors. Without the support of the sponsors, the tournament wouldn’t be the same. The Georgetown tournament has tried to keep many of the traditions that have made the tournament memorable. Many of our sponsors have been with the tournament for years. We are thankful for all of our sponsors.
Once again, Get Carried Away Catering did a great job of keeping participants happy in the food department at this year’s tournament. Although Mr. Tamsberg and Aleene take care of all the specifics, I never have any worries about the food or bar knowing that Aleene has it under control. Catering the tournament food last year was a new way of handling this task and it was an excellent experience, and this year was no different. The staff did an excellent job throughout the week. We had plenty of positive feedback about the meals under the tent.
I wanted to thank you and Get Carried Away Catering for another year of sponsorship at the tournament. It takes a lot of support and work to pull off this successful event each year and we are thankful for each and every one of our sponsors.
As many of the participants left from the docks there was plenty of conversations about coming back next year. Each year we see some friends that have been coming to the tournament for years as well as many new friends that are just getting started. As this one wraps up we are looking forward to doing it again next year.

These ladies did an awesome job for our daughter’s wedding! The price was good. The food was excellent. (And plenty of it) The service was amazing. There were two ladies that did the work of 5 or 6 people. They had an excellent attitude. They even washed the dishes and took out the trash when they left.
